Concordia University

Concordia University (commonly referred to as Concordia) is a public comprehensive university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1974 following the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University, Concordia is one of the two universities in Montreal where English is the primary language of instruction. Although the roots of its founding institutions go back more than 160 years, Concordia University was formed on August 24, 1974 through the merger of Loyola College (1896) and Sir George Williams University (1926).
